About Us

Craig Hudson started Optima Risk Solutions in 2017. His diverse background with 20-plus years’ experience spans from architecture, engineering, construction and insurance industries. Throughout his career, Craig has held positions as Lead Designer, Design Manager, Project Manager, Team Leader, Senior Risk Engineer, and Director. His broad construction experience has afforded him the opportunity to work on many dynamic high-profile projects like the San Diego Padres Baseball Stadium; Morongo Hotel and Casino; Caltrans District 7 Headquarters; LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal; LAX Central Utility Plant; and the $1.8 billion University of California project portfolio for all Southern California campuses. Craig’s insurance experience has placed him with both carrier and broker industry leaders. He has worked in the standard, and excess & surplus insurance markets where he has held leadership roles with Zurich, Aon, Willis, and Vela Insurance Services.

Our consultants’ years of experience servicing the construction industry has afforded us the opportunity to provide risk control services to multibillion-dollar global customers.  In our twenty-three years of construction project management and risk control experience, our consultants have worked with many of the ENR Top 400 construction companies, including 14 of the top 20 contractors.  Our expertise has shown us to be strong strategic partners; proficient at all facets of insurance broker, carrier, and contractor relations.  Our consultants have successfully worked with airport authorities, hospitals, commercial & residential real estate developers, general & specialty contractors, and state & local municipalities.  Our practical approach to risk control, combined with our predictive risk analytics make us adept at turning claims management into risk management; and helping companies achieve long-term financial savings.
